I find it interesting that I have to pay TSA and pay to get fingerprinted, as before coming into the country, I had to get fingerprinted.

As a programmer, I find it interesting that it's not all linked together.

Any insight on this topic? Feel free to share.

I've had to get fingerprinted for my job working alongside the state lottery, but within-state agencies can't pull those fingerprints for whatever reason. Bureaucracy at its finest.
