Hi, I’m Nathan Griffith—an FAA-certified Flight Instructor and Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic with Inspector Authorization offering personalized flight training and FAA Mechanic (Airframe and Powerplant) training throughout Southeastern New England and online. I’ve worked in aviation for years, with experience that spans flight instruction, aircraft maintenance, operations, and college-level aviation education. Whether you're just starting out or working toward an advanced certificate, I’m here to help you reach your goals with practical, hands-on training that builds real understanding and confidence.
I offer the following kinds of training:
Flight instruction for Sport, Recreational, Private, and Commercial Pilot Certificates, with training available in a variety of Single Engine Land and Sea aircraft—including complex and high-performance models. I also provide aircraft familiarization for new owners looking to get comfortable with a specific make or model.
"Ground" pilot instruction towards an Instrument Rating in addition to all of the above.
Mock Checkrides and Mock Oral exams for each of the above. I currently have a 100% pass rate for applicants who conducted Mock Checkrides and Mock Oral Exams with me.
Test prep and brush-up instruction for the FAA Mechanic General, Airframe and Powerplant tests.
Training toward the Part 107 sUAS Certificate including the sign-off required for current Part 61 certificate holders.
My background includes flying in both Part 91 and Part 135 operations, maintaining everything from general aviation aircraft to commercial jets, and teaching future aviation professionals at the college level. In particular, I am an Airbus Factory-trained Trainer for the A320 series of aircraft maintenance practices and hold Fleet Qualifications in Aircraft General Familiarization the Embraer E-190 fleets and Boeing 737 fleets. This means I can go beyond just the minimum training requirements—helping you truly understand aircraft systems, flight planning, and safe decision-making.
Whether you’re stepping into the cockpit for the first time, transitioning to a new aircraft, or adding an endorsement, I’ll work with you to tailor training that fits your experience and goals.
